MY INSPIRATION

My inspiration didn't show up

We set a time and a place and she didn't show up

One seat set aside went empty

And I was left with the five dollar cover charge

Because my inspiration didn't show up

What could it be

May be there stuck out on the beltway

But rush hour ended four hours ago

May be we forgot the day

Or the wrong place

I'm sitting here

And there sitting some where

Thinking

Where is my inspiration
