THE MYTH OF AMERICAN PRIDE

A lie has been forced on you
It tells you what to think and what to do
You believe the wisdom of a fool
Without any facts or proof

This is the myth of American pride
Living in the comfort of fear
Is that why everyone comes here?
No, they come for a better life
And comfort for a weary soul

What is this pride
Is it in how different we are?
You stay on your side I will stay on mine
Or is it just too hot to live in the melting pot?

This is the myth of American pride
Hate is what makes a lie a fact
While the ignorant blind follows behind
Stepping off into the political abyss

Is it about calling out for help
Not knowing that just being who you are is the real threat
Thrown to the ground, hot metal in your chest
Just lynching by gun and we should just get over it

This is the myth of American pride
Neighborhood block party where everyone is welcomed
Kids playing till the street light comes on
All ruined by the social and physical needs

Those we salute for their sacrifice
With memorials at a discounted price
Our union pride forgot the sacrifice
Complaining some outside made the memorial design

This is the myth of American pride.

THESE DAYS

The crucifixion of society has brought about the sacrifice of love and tears

Lost and alone on the path of fear

The innocent is no longer the victim

But guilty of dying by the hand of the ignorant

By the one to serve and protect but only to serve a lie.

A gun and fear has replaced a rope and unbridled ignorance

The strange fruit that once hung in trees now rot on the grown

Added to the cornucopia of death

My mind is a mess wanting to scream

What can I do or say to make a change

When no one wants to walk that way

KELLY GIRL

She was five foot five; every hug she gives is just a lie
She had Jasmine Guy kind of eyes
Without the same kind of style or smile
A rice and peas kind of lady
So pretty that it would drive me crazy
To the point, I couldn't express my feeling

Kelly girl
Hypocritical Christian girl
Just wanted to get her fill
But she would kiss and tell

I wish I could be her boy
I wish she could be my girl
Three years she had me hypnotized
All the time I was a friend, she kept to the side
She caught my eye with her afro-puff
Never knowing I wasn't enough

Kelly girl
Hypocritical Christian girl
Just wanted to her fill
But she would kiss and tell

Couldn't tell her a secret to save my life
Everyone would tell me what were you thinking
Talking is what she likes
For her, love was never the formula of life
It was more like a pie
She takes a slice and savors the bite
All I ever tried to do is be the spice she liked

Kelly girl
Hypocritical Christian girl
Just wanted to her fill
But she would kiss and tell

Filled with regrets, still wanting to forget
As the portrait I drew of you
Hoping it fades with time in all the sunlight
Embarrassment is my only pain
To expose my feelings that way
Hope to never do the same

Kelly girl
Hypocritical Christian girl
Just wanted to her fill
But she would kiss and tell

WHAT IS A KING

A King
Is the ruler of man
A King
Is admired protector
A King
Is wise in his decisions
A King
Sits on a thrown placed there by God
A King
Inspires
A King
Uplifts

What is a King?

It is not children
Arguing over a legacy

It is not greed
A down payment on history

It is not a family name
A generation brings it to shame

It is not selling tickets
To a path paved by dog bites, water houses or brutal beatings

What a King really is
Someone who selflessly inspire peace
This we should never forget.

#MLK

His voice still echoes through the centuries
He made freedom, justice, and peace into a revolution
Words found in a dream a foundation that is inspiring
But others just want to count the pennies of his legacy

A phrase, a photo trapped
Never to enter the annals of history
The DREAM just faded words of a speech
Never to be seen fading into the pages of greed
The substance of this DREAM can be found around us
In the children, in you and even in me
But now made meaningless within a families legal feud

You can put a price on words
You can put a price on a book
But there is no price on inspiring a nation

JIGGLE THE HANDLE

Thinking you are better than the rest
You say you got it all even success
There is no difference between me and you
When your bowels feel the stress
Can't flush away what is left behind
Just like your pile of lies

You got to
Jiggle the handle
Jiggle, jiggle
Even after you tinkle
Jiggle, jiggle

You say you are the smartest in the room
Who is it your trying to prove
When everyone is convinced you are a fool
But when your bowels start to move
You can't help it but dance to that groove

You got to
Jiggle the handle
Jiggle, jiggle
Even after you tinkle
Jiggle, jiggle

Squinty eyes puckered smile
With an orange ego combover
Mind backed up with useless thought
The shit doesn't smell any better
Even when it comes out of you

You got to
Jiggle the handle
Jiggle, jiggle
Even after you tinkle
Jiggle, jiggle

Need a place to think
Turn on the sink
Even Johnson had to let it loose
Doing the same thing you need to do
With all that backed up inside of you

You got to
Jiggle the handle
Jiggle, jiggle
Even after you tinkle
Jiggle, jiggle

Can't get it to flush
Reach in the tank pull on the chain
Regular people do it that way
You'll get a relief
But you still have the stink

PURPLE LOVE CHILD

The rumors going wild
Your mind fighting back all the lies
Not another child
They think they got it right
Living in the days of wild

So drop in the tape
Push the button that says play
Turn it up past 11
You know the kid is in heaven

Purple love child
Is in the heart of that funky style
Have some pride for your ears
Just listen to the dove's tears

Christopher gave the girl a turn
J-Hud took the song to church
Broke it now no one can sing it like her
That is how the funky life works

The love you feel
Makes the funk so real
You know the heart will heal
So pick your sound
He left enough to go around

Purple love child
Is in the beat full of life
Have some pride towards other people eyes
Smile when you hear that guitar riff
You know it was always a gift

We don't have to believe the lies
we are all
A Purple Love Child

OUT

So many times, I've had my doubts
Knowing what life was all about
The changes that I have gone through
The lonely crying, the unseen tears
All ways feeling down, while no one was around

How do I get out?
And change my life around
I want more
Then what I can afford
They're my goals

How do I get out?
And find what I'm about
What does it matter if I scream and shout
Why do I try to get everyone's attention?
When I don't even have my own
That is why I'm alone

How do I get out?
To turn my heart inside out
So I can see what I'm about
And find my own way out

JOKERS WILD

Jokers wild
Got a crazy style
Make all the girls smile
Is there a problem
He is a wild child
Mama doesn't care
Daddy got a crazy stair

Jokers wild
Talking all the jive
Like it's going out of style
On the run
Acting like an illegitimate son
Of the king and queen
There not the only one

Jokers wild
Dressing like no one could
Like no one would
On a sexy tip
Lick your lips
Get that pick
Let us hear funkiest PRINCE
