MARY SOUL

Mary came from the south part of town
She had a secret about many of the guys around
Never had a true friend every one tries to tear her down
Walking downtown is all she knows
Given paper love, she has the control
What she wanted was love that was good for the soul

Mary Soul
You have a friend
He doesn't care where you walk or stroll
He loves you for your soul

Mary had dreams
But didn't know where they could take her
One friend believed in her
He knew she was a woman and not a girl
She wanted to follow his path
But she didn't know she was on a path of her own
Her soul will take her places that she never known

Mary Soul
You gave all you had for the memory of a friend
One day you will see him again
And walk places with him you've never been

Mary knows good friends are rare
To many, they just get in her hair
It is good to have one that really cares
With him, she doesn't care if anyone stairs
Because that good friend is there

Mary Soul
You shouldn't have to work for love
Or worry where it comes from
The rain will bring it down from above

TO DESCRIBE A BEAUTIFUL WOMAN

To describe a beautiful woman
It is not to describe the contours of her body
It is to describe the contours of her mind
To describe a beautiful woman
It is not in the way she touches a man
A man who doesn't care
But who just want to put her name on a list
Like it’s some kind of success
To describe a beautiful woman
It is found through her children
Through the love and respect given to her
To describe a beautiful woman
She can be young or old

Her beauty is in her soul

IF I WERE ANYTHING

If I were anything
I would be the air you breath

If I were anything
I would be the water you drink

If I were anything
I would be the sweet scent of a rose
That is soft and gentle to your nose

If I were anything
I would be the warmth of a blanket
Like the one that covers you at night

If I were anything
I would be the music you hear
Music of love soothing to your ears

If I were anything
I would be the moon
Shining every night for you

If I were anything
I would be the pictures in your dreams
Of the hero that comes to set you free
If I were anything
I would be the man next to you
Just to say I love you

MELODY BLUE

Melody Blue
What has happened to you
I see your man has been hitting you

Melody blue
What are you going through?
At home you sit crying in your comer
While he is yelling at you

Melody blue
You’re too good for him
When he comes to the door don't let him in

Melody Blue
Don't let him hurt you again
I heard about the fight you had
He walked out mad
Leaving violence on your face
He is not a man when he does that

Melody blue
There is love out there for you
A true love that wont hurt you

Melody Blue
It is right next to you
Ready to protect you

Melody Blue
He hits you
The next time he might kill you
Why do you say I love you?
When love and death are two different things
Please see the different
He is not worth the forgiving

Melody Blue

You are smart enough to know what to do
