Why am I hurting?
When the world is still turning
Breaking from my past
To something that will last
Why is the sun still burning?
When my heart is still yearning
Forgetting the religious lies
Much more to desire
Why must we understand one
another?
When we don’t care for each other
Blinded by words of hate
Using ignorance to justify the
wrong
We must change this song
Look beyond who you think you are
Be that eternal soul that is you
Become that point of light be
that star
When peace and love should be a
way of life
Kindness should be a religion
When I like myself I am kind to
myself
I become a reflection of happiness
