HOW DO YOU CRY

In the light of day, there should be no shadows, no douts
Is that what respect for life is all about

How do you cry when there is no time for life?
How do you cry when hate is all you can find?
How do you forgive every time?

With marching feet, the calls for justice and peace
These sounds still echo from the streets
Will the next tear to be shed will be for you or for me?

How do you cry when life is just a short time?
How do you cry when a lie is revealed as hate?
How do you forgive next time?

Serve and protect until the next death
Mistakes and excuses do not make you innocent
Justice and peace are political vinegar and oil

How do you cry when this happens every time?
How do you cry when the tears run dry?
How do you forgive this time?

Tears spilled on the streets of Minneapolis.
No one should die for a light to be put on racial justice
Living and dying has no longer has any purpose

How do you cry when you have no tears?
How do you cry when you walk with fear?
How do you cry right NOW?

PRETTY BLUE

Think that I might have forgotten you
It might be true never but I never asked anything of you
My dreams don't match the reality of you

Pretty blue where did you go too
No one like you in my mind
Was our friendship just an elegant lie

These feeling never change the many times the heart brakes
But I am the only one to blame when you walk away
What do you say when you think of me today

Pretty blue where did you go too
When you where the passenger of my mind
Never to experience these unconditional feelings

When you were alone I was only in your mind
I would call you every time just to make it alright
Now I have mastered the feelings I have of you

Pretty blue where did you go too
To hold you would be an intimate lie
When you smiled it would happen every time

Reality lies when I am next to you who is always a fool
Going out of my way for heartbreak and pain

NO ONE

No one wants to be loved
No one wants to believe in any thing
They just want the easy lie
Too much self-pride
To much hate filled denial

If you don’t like what they say
Change their words to go your way

No one wants to trust
No one wants to see what they can see
To them faith is a forgotten lotto ticket
Stuck up under their seat

I don’t want prayer
Here or there
I don’t want prayer anywhere
Selfish thought from a selfish mind
We hear it all the time

If you don’t like to pray
Remember psychiatry isn’t the same

No one wants family
Mickey-D’s and Burger King is just to convenient
To put on the family table
But no one wants to be alone
But you just don’t want to go home
There your still alone

Respect the family tree
Don't forget were you came from

No one want to earn their freedom
Thinking it is given away for free
Walking in the heat 100 miles or even more
I would say you eared yours

Those who have it take it for granted
Making it sound like a commodity

THERE IS A STORY

There is a story
Still not told
About a man on the street corner
Waiting for your change
So you can put him out of your mind
He wasn’t there today

There is a story
Still not told
Of a child with a lot to prove
Out to do things they weren’t meant to do
Now their name is only mentioned in prayer

There is a story
Still not told
Of a forgotten soul
They pass you by with out a word hello
Will you see them again today?

There is a story
Still not told
Of truth that provokes anger
A story of love, from above
They just want to hear the story of selfish love
Who did you use today?

There is a story
Still not told
About a heavy heart
Alone in the dark wanting out

Can you tell what that is about?

DISTRESS

Wishes will never come true
When what you wish for isn’t next to you

You know what you want
But to show your love would be too much
Always trying to hide
Your feelings inside
Wanting to express your deep-hearted tenderness
They don’t understand your sadness

When life has you in distress
With all the love in your heart
You’re holding it back
Knowing it will soon explode
But you still keep hold
While it rips at your soul
But you still keep it inside

Is that my lie?

BROTHER HOOD

Those who control the meek
They are the ones who are weak

With the pain they inflict
Suffering they will not admit

Prejudice is their passion
There is a race to be run
A race to be won
The human race is the only one

My brother is white we will always fight
My brother is black we walk in different tracks

Friction of the times is only of the mind
This time we should open our eyes
Don’t take different sides

Let wrong be over powered by the right
Come together as one peace shall over come

Hate dose not discrimnate
Hate is on ever-ones face

Why should there be so many different faces
Why can’t we be brothers and sisters?

With many different faces
