THE SMILE REMAINS

A child walked into the light

She smiled brighter than that light

With her smile she dried up the tears of a nation

Brought a dream to those hearts she touched

Mixed with smile and a laugh

She danced with it all she gave so much

Sweetness at a young age

Sweetness that will always remain the same

No matter if times have change

She will give of her self in many ways

The smile remains

A CHILD’S EYES

In a child’s eyes
There is an innocents
Towards a world they don’t know
There is a hope
That this will be the person
That will change the world we live in

In a child’s eyes
There is a joy
Every time is playtime
Using any thing as a toy
Fun is for today
These will be the memories
For the next day

In a child’s eyes
There is always a person they look up to
It may be me, it maybe you
Because the way you act right now
Will determine
The way the world will be years from now

Children’s eyes are all round us
They see what you are doing
Soon they will do the same as you
Maybe even worse

GRANDMOTHER'S CHILD

A child, with her grandmothers smile

If you could see

She is her grandmother's child

A three foot shadow

She will start conversations

With whom ever

She has some of her father

Some of her mother

A little of her grandfather

But she looks like her grandmother
