THE DARK NIGHT OF THE SOUL

To understand God is to understand the way the wind blows
No man knows the path of another to a destination he will never know
Chained to the emotions pressed by the weight of the ego
The words of a forgotten confession we will never know

Never cold, never warm, never to see the stormes
Not a place without an image or a face
Hidden behind the cloak of purity is the dark night of the soul

To remember God is to remember where unconditional love comes from
Not a physical choice its value is unmeasurable heard from one voice
The pounding memories of the past carried by a simple man
The unspoken words never to see redemption, never to be forgiven

Never seen, never touched its value is so much
The thought of past lives is the only space it takes
Hidden behind the crimson cloak of sacrifice is the dark night of the soul

God is not man and man is not God
Man is just a container for the soul
God is light no way to be contained
Now come the dawning light of the soul

Your name never said the same way

With a pure heart, the meaning will never change
Ancient beyond the hands of time
Search past your own mind the name you will find

The name is God
Is the same no matter how you say it
Peace and love is divine goodness

The name is Jehovah
No need to say it over and over
You are a soul, and he knows you

The name is Dios
Your need for him comes and goes
He is always there even when you don't think so

The name is Kami
In your heart, you can believe anything
Even when freedom isn't a real thing

The name is Theos
No one can tell you what you already know
Why give a man all the control

The name is Shén

If you can't believe, you can't forgive

Remembering everything you did

The name is Shiva

A point of light I am like you

Manmanabhave is the way I think of you

The name is Allah

Same as it was when you were born

The same forevermore

No one has a claim to the name.

When all over the world it is said in different ways

They lied to U
Telling U what isn't true
But all time dressing and acting like U
Never feeling what U went through

Worship U
From your eyes to your thigh
Worship U
Just for that physical high

U know who U are
U're beyond the sun, moon, and stars
Not a slave but still counted as a possession
Ride you towards a momentary destination

Worship U
From U'r mind to the life U provide
Worship U
Never given a chance but wait to ask for a dance

Religion cover U up
Because man has no control over himself
The government shut U up
Tell you how to fix U'r stuff

Worship U
Creative fule U are the muse
Worship U
Man wants to be the same without the pain

How can U come from man
When a man comes from U
Evolution has much to prove
As chemistry happens inside U

Worship U
Knowing so much about growing
Worship U
To be a Goddess she got to be a God

Could I say a prayer for you tonight?

If I said your name 

Would GOD know whom I was talking about?

Haven’t seen or heard from you in a week

Have you’ve forgotten me

Have you’ve even stop to think of me

Could I say a prayer for you tonight?

If I never see you again in this life

Would GOD make every thing all right?

I’ve been around when you’ve been down

Now I’m down, but you’re not around

Is my loneliness an inconvenient to you?

Could I say a prayer for me tonight?

Even if this friendship ends

Would GOD ever explain what love and friendship is?

Have you ever been friends with the one you love?

But the one you love is not your friend

It’s worse than just being in love

Could I say prayer for us tonight?

That you will remember me as I think of you

Would GOD take this pain, every time I hear your name?
