NO TIME FOR REDEMPTION

What once was will be again
Just a dream I have in my head
Asking for forgiveness of the past will never end

No time for redemption
When your past is never forgiven
What is in this life that we are missing

You are reborn in the eyes of the lord
As the lobbyist just give you more
But in the political world, you're just whore

No time for redemption
When your future is a series of predictions
You call them missed communications

Blaming others for who you are
But claiming you're the greatest by far
You have no perspective on charm

INTEGRITY

Has morel ground become sand and dust
We can't count on the things we once trust

No integrity in a lie when it is the truth you hide
Soft hands soft mind is the result of the ego's pride

The truth once was like steel now it is just rusting away
Optimism tries to heel in the darkness of the day

No integrity in selfish privilege when hate is your only message
Truth and lies today are blurred lines but no courage to acknowledge that

Is justice the cure for the pain or have we lost our way
No inspiring words to take us through these days

No integrity in peace an unfulfilled desire is our reality
Creating the ingredients for genocide as we watch Palestinian children die

God doesn't choose who lives and dies we elect our leaders to do that
Now they wonder why is everyone mad when it is in the past

No integrity in fear wondering what brought us here
Too scared to show you care when hate is all you hear

You come along way to forget yesterday when all you did was prayed
Now you live with a hypocrite lie acting like you care, but you don't even try

Integrity is the inner wealth
Integrity directs the moral compass
I would rather be poor with integrity
Than rich without a soul

ORIGINAL MAN

Lost that dream in my heart
Came so far got to re-start
Even though I see the horizon it is still far

Just want to be an original man
Stay to my own path and stay out of the sand
Don't need a mystical deity to give me a hand

Lost that dream in my mind
The dream I had all this time
It is just another turn in my path

Just want to be an original man
No need for a fancy device or a tattoo
Free to do what I want too not out to impress you

Lost that dream in my life
She looked me in the eye thought she would be my wife
She turned her back never understand what I lacked

Just want to be a man of originality
That is what makes me free

PLOT POINT

Trying to find inspiration in life
There is a choice in knowing wrong from right
Taking pride in the words that I write

Plot Point
A turning at the corner in the story being told

The hero might lose the fight
But will get the redemption in the light
In the end the responsibility you hold

Plot point
Where music get its soul

All she asks for is a little respect when he walks in the door
She knows she will love him much more
Not a muse but a living queen listen to her sing

Plot point
It is all in the words one writes

Say dear God before sleep at night
The sign will be a purple color filling the sky
Sisters can find strength through life

Plot point
Talking above all the noise

Robert would cross-talk in a conversation
No one thought it was art
When that is the way we all talk

Plot point
Discovering something you didn't know

Exposing your mind to an uneducated lie
Thinking you're more privileged than others
To be borne you had to have a mother

MELLOW MIND

Lost my dream when you looked me in the eyes
In you I thought I found a new dream, it was just a lie
Truth to a lifetime now the choices was mine

Mellow mind
You gave me the fruit to try
But then you put me to the side

Lost my way in your shallow game
Thought I found another soul to connect to mine
Alone got to work through these lonely days

Mellow mind
You gave me friendship in my mind
Too afraid to tell what I felt inside

Lost my sight saw no wrong in you
Go out of my way with feeling to prove
It was strange to me it was all new

Mellow mind
You gave me loneliness
Did you take back everything you said

Lost my feeling and everything I believed in
For a long time thought we could be friends
Have not heard a word from you ever again

DIASPORA GUILT

Is this what my ancestors felt
When leaving their homes for a better world
No longer I am on the path they took

Diaspora guilt
Now history is a bitter pill
Dreams scheduled to be killed

No compensation for the hate
Ignorance is the only food they ate
With another serving on their plate

Diaspora guilt
Now the truth is a bitter pill
No standing up for it get out your cameras and film

The privilege can't feel any pain
They have no sense of shame
It is always the victim they blame

Diaspora guilt
Now education is a bitter pill
The blooming youth just die and wilt

Reading, writing, and arithmetic no longer the way
Now it is only words of hate anyone can say
Thoughts and prayers will not make a new day

MUSE ME

I can't lie what I am feeling inside
I would hide the words that I write
Some times so embarrassed I could die

Muse me
Inspire what I think
Inspire what I dream

You changed for the attention
For me to see you is a form of affection
Now I don't see you the same way, you lost my attention

Muse me
Inspire what I see
Inspire what I feel

Poetic words drip from his lips
As the needle on the album skips
Every word visual you know it is his

Muse me
Inspire the fire in me
Inspire something I can believe

One day your mixing drinks
So much with your dark eyes, you see
Now you call-out the commander and chief

Muse me
Inspire revolutionary dreams
Inspire them into reality

Lies feed on the plasma of the uneducated mind
The ego thrives as the communities hide
Facts with conviction will win the fight

Muse me
Inspire the need to just be
Inspiration should always be free
