DINER

Three eggs medium, hashbrowns, and toast
Coffee, please as the noise of dishes crash into the bus tub
"Would that be all" she would say
"Nothing else thank you" I would say
Looking at the jukebox to see what Prince song to play
"Breakfast Can Wait" will go good with these eggs
In a flash, the cook brings me a plate
The tattooed waitress refills my coffee
Will her tip go to fill in the rest of the tattoo on her neck

FIRST OF JUNE

Legend a rumor puts shame to my name
As the Kingsmen sing it every day
They still get paid as it fades with age

First of June
I am still the same
But everything is new

Sharing my birthday with flag fondling tyrant
Don't want to be associated with that
My conception is a good reason for calibration

First of June
I just want to hear that new tune
Just want to feel that muse

Art is where it all starts
Something this cool has nothing to prove
Keep doing what you do

First of June
I got to find my own path
No need for directions from any man

Get up and dance like you got, soul
Just want to let you know you are a soul
Now let everyone know

First of June
With responsibility in life knowing what to do
Just want to be in that mediated mood

EMOTIONEL PLAIN

I wake up the same way every day
Get out of bed one foot at a time
Even when some times I want to stay
Got those morning pain I know I am alive

Emotional Plain
Everything I do to get away it is always the same
Emotional Plain
Wondering does it have anything to do with my name

Thinking the chemicals need to be in charge
We all live with mistakes living in the shadow of regrets
Why living life naturally have to be so hard
Making your way through it all don't fail the next test

Emotional Plain
Have goals I want to keep and people I want to meet
Emotional Plain
There is the dawn through the darkest day for that you got to stay

The distance between me and you is the way I feel about you
Wishing I could be anyone else to you I must be a fool
A relationship is what you work for it not the job I don't want to do
I got to warm my self up just to be cool

Emotional Plain
Got to get away from you asking how I feel every day
Emotional Plain
Sometimes I want the distance but still miss you when your away

BLESSED DANE

You struggle with choices but you dance through the day
Reveling your change but your beauty remains the same
With the many barriers on your path, you still make your way

Blessed Dane
Complex male feminity there is no other way for me to say your name
Blessed Dane
A friend, sister, and brother confidence is the identity, you maid

Your confidence is yours, not under anyone's control
Clothing, hair, and makeup does nothing for the true beauty of you the soul
God's acceptance, you never have to work for because it is only yours

Blessed Dane
No need to change your name who you are will always be the same
Blessed Dane
With nothing to prove you will dance like a muse today

Kindness and love is the makeup on your face
Smiling and laughing away the pain there are no tears to trace
All of who you are reaches to the edge and adorned with pretty lace

Blessed Dane
Is the name of the dance you do
Blessed Dane
That is the way I see you

ORPHANED LEGACY

Sharing the sound is what makes it loud
Understand the many words that you heard
Complicated thoughts interpreted by the heart

This love sign is for every boy and girl
And all those in between it is for everybody

Orphaned legacy
There no waking from this eternal dream
We still got this life, and the inspiration will lead

On Thursday you died, but the vibe is still alive
As we remember you at the party every Saturday night
The music heals the pain nothing for the MC to say

Orphaned legacy
There no sitting around when you are in town
We still got this life, and there is much more to this rain

Don't pray for what has happened in the past
Lost in this artistic trances, watch the muse as she dances
Her beauty is left for interpretation of only one imagination

Orphaned legacy
There no need for clouds when we hear your sound
We still got this life, and this power of love is more than enough

GREEN GREED

Leaders can't see the change going on beyond their own greed
Plastic in the seas the burning of all the trees
Hot where it should be cold something the almanac didn't know

Green greed
The rich can't see the change as they make the money rain
As the uneducated buys, their lies like its the newest style

What we got they can't have so they tax every man
Keeping their secrets is the only solution they don't know who their fooling
No proof to the lies they are tooling

Green greed
Ignorance is a political seed no way anyone to be free
As the world crumbles down can't see the dawn through the weeds

The hypocrite laugh at there own jokes
As the sing superstar lip-sinks to their own voice
Fake isn't the way your maid you choose to be that way

Green greed
Have no trust in what you see so you create your own reality
You got no cash so tell ever one the world is flat

This is not about you not about me
Not even about those who dream of the things they need

NO TIME FOR REDEMPTION

What once was will be again
Just a dream I have in my head
Asking for forgiveness of the past will never end

No time for redemption
When your past is never forgiven
What is in this life that we are missing

You are reborn in the eyes of the lord
As the lobbyist just give you more
But in the political world, you're just whore

No time for redemption
When your future is a series of predictions
You call them missed communications

Blaming others for who you are
But claiming you're the greatest by far
You have no perspective on charm

ORIGINAL MAN

Lost that dream in my heart
Came so far got to re-start
Even though I see the horizon it is still far

Just want to be an original man
Stay to my own path and stay out of the sand
Don't need a mystical deity to give me a hand

Lost that dream in my mind
The dream I had all this time
It is just another turn in my path

Just want to be an original man
No need for a fancy device or a tattoo
Free to do what I want too not out to impress you

Lost that dream in my life
She looked me in the eye thought she would be my wife
She turned her back never understand what I lacked

Just want to be a man of originality
That is what makes me free

PLOT POINT

Trying to find inspiration in life
There is a choice in knowing wrong from right
Taking pride in the words that I write

Plot Point
A turning at the corner in the story being told

The hero might lose the fight
But will get the redemption in the light
In the end the responsibility you hold

Plot point
Where music get its soul

All she asks for is a little respect when he walks in the door
She knows she will love him much more
Not a muse but a living queen listen to her sing

Plot point
It is all in the words one writes

Say dear God before sleep at night
The sign will be a purple color filling the sky
Sisters can find strength through life

Plot point
Talking above all the noise

Robert would cross-talk in a conversation
No one thought it was art
When that is the way we all talk

Plot point
Discovering something you didn't know

Exposing your mind to an uneducated lie
Thinking you're more privileged than others
To be borne you had to have a mother

CULTURE WAR

No one knows who I am
Even when I tell them over and over again
Like a book, you have to read me from the inside out
Take the time to see what I am about

Caught in a culture war
Why does it have to come to my door
In the night of a racist mind, it is boring
In the educated mind, it is always morning

A young boy was thrown to the floor
Is this what he came here for
A young girl with a knee in her back
Call for her mama does she know where she is at

Caught in a culture war
Why does it have to come to my door
Call Nine, one, one when breaking the rules of etiquette
Everyone knows the fork goes on the left

There is so much to this world, I want to experience it all and get my fill
Standing in one places does not get you over the hill
People who talking lies with no proof
They complain when faced with the real truth (yes Sarah I am talking about you)

Caught in a culture war
Why does it have to come to my door
Our nation is built on cultural appropriation
So many are sensitive they call it racism

White girls wanting to be black
Black girls wanting to be white girls wanting to be black
Is there cultural appropriation in that
We should look into those facts

Caught in a culture war
Why does it have to come to my door
In a shrinking world, we have become sensitive
We should adapt to our differences
